People and words

Just discovered a world of copyright free pictures made possible by an organization known as Creative Commons. How I found them was quite interesting. I had an idea about a need and I thought, someone must have done something about this. So, I searched on Google and then I found just what I was looking for. I’m impressed by the concept, but that sphere of life still requires more non-profit initiatives. I think about what non-profit organizations do and many times come to the conclusion that they do much less than they actually can. Anyway, that’s a talk for another day.

Take a look at this picture. What do you see? Can you see the red light? Can you see the woman with the purple bag? What about the photographer?

People. In real life, the ugliest thing with someone is more beautiful than the most beautiful thing without any person. People are the beauty of the world. The world makes no sense without people. But people grow up to be who they are. Every child was born the same but no two people grow up alike. Now, I’m not talking about the features of the human body, I am talking about the development of personalities. Each face (like those in the picture) carries a story.

People live on words. The information you are using for your life is coming from somewhere. The question I want to ask you is, are you aware of where it is coming from? In that picture, where is the photographer? But do you know that the information of that picture came from the photographer not the faces you see. Did you get that? Who you see talking is not always the one talking to you. In fact, in today’s world, it is rarely the case. Whenever you find someone talking publicly who is the direct source of what he is saying, regard the person highly.

Your life is made by what you hear, pay attention to who you hear. Whenever you hear anything, ask yourself ‘who is really talking?’ Then, after you recognize the one really talking, then you can be in the right frame of mind whether to believe or disbelieve. Take these things seriously.

**The name of the photographer of the picture above is Kaique Rocha.
